Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops bone-in
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to season
  • 1/2 cup (143 g) BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium high heat.
  • Coat the chops with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Put the chops on the grill and cook for 2 minutes per side, then baste them with BBQ sauce on both sides and continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes per side, until an internal temperature of 135° F(55°C) is reached and held for 30 seconds.
  • Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For the juiciest results, opt for bone-in pork chops, as the bone helps retain moisture during cooking, resulting in more flavorful meat.
  • To ensure perfectly cooked pork chops, use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. The internal temperature should reach 135°F and be held there for 30 seconds for safe consumption, ensuring that the chops are juicy and not overcooked.
  • You can do a homemade BBQ sauce or just choose your favorite store-bought brand to make it super simple.
