Ingredients

  • 3 medium onions sliced thickly (Walla Walla Sweets, if possible)
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard
  • 2 teaspoons horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Grease the grates so things don’t stick.
  • Skewer the onions, three per skewer, if possible. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix all other ingredients in a bowl until combined.
  • Place the onion skewers on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until nicely charred.
  • Brush the sauce onto the onions while grilling. Then use as a dip or drizzle, as desired.
