Helpful Tips

  • Marinate for Maximum Flavor: Allow the wings to marinate for at least a few hours, or preferably overnight. This helps the tequila, lime, and spices to deeply penetrate the meat, ensuring every bite is packed with flavor.
  • Grill to Perfection: For the best results, cook the wings over medium-high heat on the grill or in a preheated oven. This will give you crispy skin and juicy meat. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning, and turn them frequently for even cooking.
  • Finish with Fresh Lime: Just before serving, squeeze fresh lime juice over the wings. This adds a burst of freshness and enhances the overall tangy flavor, making the wings even more delicious.

With these tips, you’ll be well on your way to making Tequila Lime Wings that are perfectly juicy, tangy, and full of vibrant flavors. Enjoy the process and savor the taste of these delightful wings!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (907 g) chicken wings separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1/4 cup (59 ml) tequila

  • 1 teaspoon (6 g) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) black pepper
  • 1/4 cup (4 g) fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  • Sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  • Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of citrus.
