Today we’re reviewing the new Monument Grill Mesa Series 325, which is newly released in March 2024 to add to their already robust offerings. If you’re looking for a new grill, we invite you to take a look at our in depth review to see if this one fits the bill for you.
We’ve put some time in at the grill and are excited to share our insights with you. When purchasing a new grill, we know you have a million choices and it can be difficult to decipher between the good, the mediocre, and the bad. That’s why we take our job so seriously when we review a new grill. It’s tedious to scan through the product details and figure out how that translates to actual grilling, so let us do it for you!

First, let me start by saying that Monument Grills sent us their Mesa Series 325 – the 3-burner, black model – to review, however we were not compensated for this review and all of our opinions are our own. As I always like to do, here is a picture of the Mesa 325 all set up in our backyard, ready to be put to the test.
In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the grill. We’ll examine its features, performance, and tell you what we think based on our own experience with the grill.
So, whether you’re a seasoned grilling pro or just getting started, read on to find out everything you need to know about the Mesa Series 325 by Monument Grills.

Our Top Impressions
Since this grill was released in March, we had to do some cold-weather testing. Luckily when we put it together there was no snow on the ground in Oregon, but it was quite cold out. Thus it has only been tested in these chilly conditions. We’ll update our findings, if necessary, when the weather improves.
In any case, here are our top impressions of the grill:
- Durable construction and thoughtful features, including their Clearview technology that lets you see the food during grilling through a glass window, which is really convenient.
- Equipped with stainless steel burners and porcelain-coated cast iron cooking grates, which we found to give consistent heat distribution.
- The integrated thermometer (upgraded from the older model) and user-friendly control knobs (which were also redesigned) are well designed and very useful.
- The 12,000 BTU side burner is a useful and fun addition.

Variations
The new Mesa grill is now available in three different sizes – a 2, 3 or 4 burner model – and five different colors – black, stainless steel, blue, green, and red.
It’s a budget-friendly option, especially when compared to other options with the similar features, at between $335-$475 USD. They also have various accessories that you can add on, like grill tools and a grill cover. They also offer free shipping on orders this big. We are also happy to pass along an 8% discount offer from Monument Grills to our readers when you use the code MONUMENTMESA at checkout.

Design and Build Quality
Assembly

One of the things we enjoyed the most about putting this grill together was that many of the screws were already in the proper location and just needed to be screwed in once the correct piece was inserted. That made dealing with mountain of pieces you have to unpack a little more palatable.
I do wish there had been less waste from the packaging, but realize it’s difficult to ensure the pieces aren’t damaged in transit without all that packaging. It took my son and I about 1 hour 45 minutes to put together.
Materials and Durability
The Mesa Series 325 emphasizes sturdiness with a construction largely based on 304 stainless steel, known for its resistance to rust and corrosion.
This high-quality material should have longevity and I’m hoping for many years of it looking good with the proper upkeep, even though we’ve only had it for a few months now.
It has an upgraded die-cast aluminum lid that’s more durable than in the previous model that promises to be more heat retentive and corrosion-resistant which will add to the grill’s resilience against wear and tear, while components such as the burners and grates benefit from the stainless steel build.
Visual Appeal and Dimensions

I think the Mesa Series 325 has a sleek design with a polished look. I opted for the black exterior, though it comes in stainless steel as well. Another fun thing about this grill is that they’ve introduced it in multiple colors, like red and blue. Not many other grills on the market that come in colors.
The ClearView lid, in my opinion, is one of the best parts of this grill and what sets it apart from others we’ve tried. You can see right through the window what’s happening inside, so you don’t have to keep opening the lid to check.

We don’t have a lot of room in our backyard and this grill has to share space with our smoker, so the lockable caster wheels help us cart it from the garage to the lawn when we’re ready to grill.
Performance and Ease of Use
Cooking Power and Area

The Mesa Series 325 uses a propane tank and delivers 36,000 BTUs (12,000 in each of 3 grills). It’s not the most powerful grill we’ve used, but it’s more than capable of handling what we’ve thrown at it so far.
I like the large cooking area on the 3-burner grill. It has 542 square inches of total cooking area. That’s 392 sq. in. in the primary cooking area and 150 sq. in. on the warming rack. You can easily cook 10 burgers or 8 steaks, along with your sides. The warming rack is large enough for 4 sets of burger buns.

I really like the side burner, which is more than strong enough to heat a sauce in a pan while we’re cooking. This is great for making a butter sauce for your salmon or reducing a glaze for your chicken wings.
Ignition and Temperature Control
The grill has an very easy to use ignition system on the side of the grill so you can quickly get the grill started. Just turn on the burners you’ll use and then press the ignition button. I haven’t had any trouble getting it to start, even in a pretty strong wind.

The temperature control has been pretty precise for us so far. I really like the integrated thermometer at the top of the lid. I didn’t use the previous model, but I’ve seen the old thermometer and this is much better. It’s easy to see and read and it goes up to 800° F.

Cleaning and Maintenance
We haven’t had much maintenance to do on this grill yet, but what we’ve done has been pretty straightforward. The porcelain-enameled grates are really easy to clean and food doesn’t really get stuck on them. We give the grate a quick brush over when we’re done cooking and that’s about all.
I do really like the grill’s grease management system. It prevents flare-ups and it’s easy to clean with the removeable grease tray in the back. Pretty low effort on your part.

Additional Features
Aside from what we’ve already mentioned, there are a few additional features to this grill.
Storage – Ample storage space underneath the grill provides room to keep your grilling accessories and propane tank hidden. It’s very accessible with double handle pulls.
Bottle opener – I did ask “why would you need that” when I saw it, but it has come in handy a few times when we’re just hanging out grilling.

Hooks – There are three little hooks on both of the side shelves, so you can hang your utensils or pot-holders.

Price and Value
The price of the Monument Grills Mesa Series varies depending on the model you want to purchase. It’s a budget-friendly option, especially when compared to other options with the similar features, at between $300-$400 USD. They also offer free shipping on orders this big. What We Like:
- Pricing: Competitive within the market, tailored for cost-conscious buyers.
- 8-Year Warranty: Substantial coverage, ensuring your grill is protected over time.

Comparison:

---|---|---|

If you are weighing your options, the Mesa Series 325 provides features that are similar to more expensive grills, yet at a price point that doesn’t strain your finances.
With a generous warranty period, it also signals a commitment to durability and customer satisfaction that can rival even the best grill warranties on the market.
